Why It’s Needed
It is inevitable that asphalt pavement will crack with time, but crack sealing is the lowest cost pavement treatment to help preserve and prolong the life of the asphalt. Crack sealing helps slows the rate at which new cracks form, reduces the possibility of potholes forming, and helps reduce more costly maintenance treatments earlier in the lifespan of the asphalt by preventing water from migrating into the subgrade.
