Parks Supervisor

Salary Range: $4,627-$6,180

The City of Pendleton is accepting applications for a full-time Parks Supervisor in the Parks & Recreation Department.  Position is responsible to provide general supervision over all park operations, assign work for crews, and manages compliance with safety regulations and City policy. Works closely with the Park and Recreation Director to assess need and assign resources accordingly.  Requires graduation from a two-year college or university with a degree in park management, landscaping, or a closely related field and two years of experience with demonstrated skill organizing parks maintenance activities and/or supervision; or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have knowledge of methods and procedures of park maintenance and knowledge of the use of parks equipment and tools, and building maintenance and repair.  The right candidate must be able to: communicate effectively; direct development of park and facility improvements; hire, train, evaluate, and supervise employees and volunteers.
