Duties and Responsibilities
The following are not regular positions with the City. These represent temporary, "on-call" opportunities that may work only a few hours, or not at all, in a given month. If you have an interest in being called to help with the types of programs listed, please follow the application instructions. Applications will be reviewed only when the need arises.
Parks & Recreation Aids
Parks & Recreation Aides are needed to assist with events such as Halloween Carnival, Mother Son Bowling, Breakfast with Santa, Track Meet, Dodgeball Invitational, Daddy Daughter Dance, Gamer’s Night and facility rentals such as quinceanero, wedding receptions, birthday parties etc. Persons in these positions may help with scheduling, preparation, set up, coordination, clean up and other activities associated with these events.
There is no set schedule, hours of work will depend on events worked. Minimum wage.
Instructors are needed for youth programs such as: skateboarding, tennis, science, ice skating, cooking, jewelry making, and cosmetic makeovers.
Pay rate is $15 - $20 per instructional hour, DOE. Experience working with youth preferred.

All positions require a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and ability to pass a criminal background check. Positions are all part-time, with no benefits.
