The City of Pendleton Public Library and City Offices will be CLOSED in honor of Independence Day, Thursday, July 4th.
There will be a 4th of July Parade beginning at 10 am in downtown Pendleton and fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk in the area near WalMart.
On July 4, 1776, the 13 colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States. Each year on the fourth of July, also known as Independence Day, Americans celebrate this historic event.
Have a fun and safe 4th of July!
