In providing this presentation, the city, state, and consultant reviewed the project schedule, reuse of the bridge trusses, project design, roadway sections, temporary work bridge and in-water work window, and the next steps: executing construction contract Fall 2017, starting construction Spring 2018, and completing the overall project Fall 2019. The river crossing is expected to be unavailable for about 10 months, with north side residents using an alternative route during this period. The new bridge is expected to be open to the public in Spring 2019 with removal of the temporary work bridge in Summer 2019.
The presentation provided at the open house is included in this announcement and is also posted to the public works page, under Documents & More Info, Bridges, materials from Open House on 07/31/2017.
