Fire Department & Ambulance Service

The Pendleton Fire and Ambulance Department is a full service fire and ambulance department currently served by Fire Chief Mike Ciraulo, Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal Matt Benedict, office administrator Karen Hoeft, 21 career personnel and 15 fire/EMS reserve staff.

PFD provides fire protection to the city of Pendleton as well as the Riverside RFPD, Lower McKay Creek RFPD, McKay Dam RFPD, Rieth Water District and several individual properties through contract agreements.

PFD provides ALS ambulance service for the southeast portion of Umatilla county encompassing approximately 2000 square miles and including the communities of Pendleton, Rieth, Pilot Rock, and Ukiah.

The Emergency Communications Network (i.e. CodeRed) has built an Emergency Telephone Network (ETN) database of citizen contact information for use in critical situations. By entering your contact information, you will be added to a nationwide database accessed exclusively for critical community alerts and emergency situations.

The City of Pendleton uses CodeRed for any number of critical and/or special situations including evacuation warnings, public safety alerts and public works notices.
