The Mayor and City Council are responsible for the formulation of City policy, enactment of legislation, control of revenues and expenditures through the annual operating budget, and appointment of members to citizen advisory boards and commissions. The Council is composed of eight members who are elected to four-year terms. The Mayor is also elected to a four-year term. The Mayor and City Council meet in regular session on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM.
To present information or request action by the City Council, citizens must submit their request/information to the Administration office at City Hall not later than noon of the Wednesday preceding the Council meeting in order to meet the agenda publication deadline.
