National Night Out

The City chalked up another fantastic National Night Out event last Tuesday, August 4th.  Billed as "America's Night Out Against Crime", it is estimated that it may have been the largest turnout ever.  The cotton candy count alone was over 1,400!  

National Night Out

On the first Tuesday of August annually, neighborhoods throughout Pendleton are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “31st Annual National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.  Last year over 37 million people participated in National Night Out. 

Christmas With a Cop

December 13th, Officers with the Pendleton Police Department participated in Christmas with a Cop which was sponsored by the local Pendleton Wal-Mart.

Community invited to National Night Out event Aug. 6

Release Date: 

National Night Out -- Tuesday, August 6, 2013 -- is a nationwide celebrated night. It is part of the “Neighborhood Crime Watch” program sponsored by the Pendleton Police Department which promotes strong, safe neighborhoods and communities. This is one night we ask neighbors to lock their doors, turn on their outside lights, and gather in their neighborhood to send a message to criminals that they are not wanted in their area. It is the largest crime prevention event in the world with 32 million people participating.

The Police Department will be sponsoring a citywide event at Roy Raley Park from 6-8 p.m. where it will be offering free hot dogs, free root beer floats, information booths, police and fire vehicles, tug-of-war, face painting, a dunk tank and entertainment sponsored by the Pendleton Public Library, and more! We hope to see you there!

Dogs within City Limits

Animal Control

All dogs over six months of age that are kenneled or housed within the city limits of Pendleton are required to be licensed.  Licensing fees are paid at Pendleton City Hall in the Finance Department.  Fees are contingent upon whether the dog is spayed or neutered and term of licensing.  Dog owners should be prepared to show current proof of immunization when licensing their respective dogs.
