Spring Break Stay-cation Activities

Get Air Tri-Cities Road Trip -  The Ultimate trampoline palace beckons! Ages 7-11 years will hit the road on Tuesday, March 24th. Ages 12-15 years make the trip on Wednesday, March 25th. On-line waiver MUST be completed in order for child to participate. $20 fee includes admission, chaperone and transportation and is due by Friday, March 20th. Seating is very limited. Don’t delay and register today. We will leave at 12:30 p.m.

Pioneer Park Maintenance

Excavation will begin Tuesday, March 17, at Pioneer Park for the new shelter that will be located across from the entrance to the playground. Visitors to the park will need to enter the playground from the south end parking lot. In addition, the restroom will be closed for several days until the main line can be moved. The excavation site will be fenced off for 6-8 weeks until the shelter arrives.

Sports field reservation policy: League games & tournaments

Use of fields for practices will continue to be on a first come first serve basis and are to be worked out amongst leagues and coaches.  Parks and Recreation programming has first priority. Reservation cards will be placed at the fields to indicate a reservation exists.

Bubble Bump Soccer

Teen League Bubble Bump Soccer is coming up!  Starts January 23rd and runs 6 weeks. Gather some friends and build your 4-person team. Sign up individually and indicate team name when registering. Don't forget we also have Adult League (ages 18+); starting February 4th.

The fee is $19 for ages 12-19, register by Friday, January 16th.

Ski Bus to Anthony Lakes Ski Resort

Ski bus has begun! Pendleton Parks and Recreation works with Mid-Columbia Bus Company and Anthony Lakes Ski Resort to provide access to the powder every Saturday in January. As a bus rider you are eligible for $16 lift tickets and $16 equipment rentals; this fee is paid on the bus. Youth will be supervised on the bus but are responsible for themselves on the mountain. Stand-by passes are available the morning of the trip on a space available basis.  For more information phone the Parks Department at 541-276-8100

Pendleton Parks & Recreation – Walking For Wellness

Join us Monday – Friday in the classic Helen McCune Gymnasium inside the Pendleton Recreation Center. Walkers meet from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. The program is free due to the generosity of volunteer gym supervisors. Nice music, an out of the weather exercise environment, and smiling faces make this a rewarding habit to add to your day.

Annual Daddy Daughter Dance

Registration is now being taken for this event that sells out early. The fee is $32 per father and daughter pair and $10 for each additional person. This special evening is held at the Convention Center where we pack the house with lots of dancing and laughter. Snacks and refreshments including the ever popular chocolate fountain, a posed picture, a special gift at the door and chance to win prizes are all also included. The dance is Saturday, February 7th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and is open to girls ages kindergarten through 8th grade.

Halloween Carnival

Another Successful Halloween Carnival!

Over 1,000 individuals attended the Halloween Carnival at the Pendleton Convention Center where bingo, refreshments, a Halloween movie and so many fun carnival booths awaited them.  There were many wonderful and creative costumes, with many adults getting into the spirit just as much as their children.  

The annual carnival is a great, safe, and climate controlled, way for families to enjoy the holiday.  Thanks to all the sponsors and the almost 100 volunteers who helped make the carnival a huge success!  It is not only a great event to participate in but a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community.
