New City Councilor Appointed

At Tuesday night's City Council meeting, Charles "Chuck" LeValle was appointed to the vacant Ward 1 position.  Mr. LeValle is a Hospital Lab Technician that moved here from Georgia in 2016 and declared that he instantly fell in love with Pendleton.  Mr. LeValle's background includes service in the US Army, where he also worked as a lab technician, and also owning and operating a Stage Production business in Georgia, which he still manages from a distance.  He received degrees from George Washington University and Savannah State University in the health sciences and biology.  He is married and has two young children.

The Council stated that they were looking forward to Mr. LeValle's fresh perspective. 

Mr. LeValle fills the position recently vacated by the death of long-time Councilor John Brenne.  Under this appointment Mr. LeValle will serve the remainder of his term, which ends 12/31/18.  To be elected to the four year term beginning in January, 2019, Mr. LeValle will run against Carole Innes and David Chorazy in the May election.
